Dr. Anna Olajos is an art manager, cultural strategy consultant and researcher, and a committed advocate of contemporary visual art and interdisciplinary thinking. Since 2023, she has been leading the artistic programme of HAB, focusing strengthening the social embeddedness of contemporary Hungarian art.
Since its establishment in 2023, she has served as Professional Director of HAB, playing a defining role in shaping the institution’s artistic programme. Her work places strong emphasis on building structures and systems, as well as creating bridges between different fields. An advocate of interdisciplinary approaches, her aim is to integrate contemporary Hungarian visual art into everyday life. She completed her studies in Arts Management at Oxford Brookes University IBS and in Law at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. She began her career at Saatchi & Saatchi Budapest and at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. She later managed international relations for the Art Market Budapest art fair, organising exhibitions and international guest programmes. A key highlight of her research work is the study Hungarian Fine Art in the Mirror of Data, conducted in collaboration with Albert-László Barabási, as well as a 2020 art sociology research project examining the situation of artists. She is a founding member and mentor of the Budapest Art Mentor programme.
