As Prime Minister’s Commissioner for cultural nation-building and President of the Hungarian Culture Foundation, he plays a key role in contemporary Hungarian cultural policy, focusing on Carpathian Basin Hungarian literature and the implementation of value-based cultural strategies.
As Prime Minister’s Commissioner for cultural nation-building and President of the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian Culture Foundation, he shapes contemporary Hungarian cultural policy. He earned a philosophy degree in 1999 at Babeș-Bolyai University and worked as an editor, lecturer, press chief to László Tőkés, and later as a research analyst at the Századvég Foundation. In 2015, he was a founding member of the Előretolt Helyőrség Writers’ Academy, and subsequently became Editor-in-Chief, later Managing Director, of Előretolt Helyőrség, a literary journal dedicated to Hungarian literature across the Carpathian Basin. As Ministerial Commissioner, he has overseen several cultural fields: between 2019 and 2021 he was responsible for the development of literary public collections, and between 2020 and 2022 for the social outreach of popular music. He served as Director General of the Petőfi Literary Museum from 2018 to 2024, and as Director General of the Hungarian National Museum and its affiliated Public Collections Centre from March 2024 to November 2025. As President of the Hungarian Culture Foundation, he has held a leading strategic role since the organisation’s establishment.
