Dita Danosa

Bureau of European Design Associations (BEDA), Latvian Design Centre

Dita Danosa is a highly regarded professional of the Latvian and European design scene. As Director of the Latvian Design Centre and a member of the Board of the Bureau of European Design Associations (BEDA), she works to strengthen the strategic role of the creative industries and to enhance their international relevance and intellectual embeddedness.

With nearly two decades of experience in design, fashion and the creative industries, she consistently advocates for the strategic importance of design as a key driver of innovation, sustainability and social impact within both national and European policy frameworks. As a Board Member of BEDA, she is actively involved in European-level design advocacy, with a particular focus on the protection of intellectual property and the development of institutional cooperation with the EUIPO. Through her work, she represents the interests of BEDA’s member organisations and contributes to ensuring that the association remains a leading voice of the design sector in Europe. At national level, she serves as Director of the Latvian Design Centre as a delegate of the Latvian Ministry of Culture. Her responsibilities include national design policy, research and education, as well as the coordination of international collaborations, including the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus initiative. The Centre coordinates major projects such as the Latvian National Design Award and Tactile Baltics, which has also been presented at Milan Design Week.
