Katie Dominy is the Co-founder and Artistic Director of Arts Thread, a globally recognised platform supporting emerging artists and designers. For more than sixteen years, Arts Thread has provided a launchpad for young creative talents entering the industry.

Through its open-access digital platform, students worldwide can showcase their work and connect with professional opportunities, partners, brands and institutions. The annual Global Creative Graduate Showcase, organised by Arts Thread for the past six years, has become the world’s largest online exhibition of graduating students. The platform is used by more than 1,000 higher education institutions globally, allowing students to upload unlimited projects, build digital portfolios and apply for career-launching competitions. The search function enables browsing by name, discipline, institution or geographic location. Prior to founding Arts Thread, Katie held various advisory roles, including researcher for the Japanese fashion house Comme des Garçons, consumer trends researcher at Milan-based Future Concept Lab, and journalist at the Premsela Dutch Platform for Design and Fashion, which promoted the Netherlands’ design and fashion scene. She is also an established author, with several publications released by Laurence King Publishing in London. She studied design at University of the Arts London and worked as a designer before joining the founding team of WGSN, the world’s first online trend forecasting service.
